Eye of the Collector, London

11 - 14 May 2022
Two Temple Place, London

Wood Anemone from the Life Support series was presented by Ruup & Form at Eye of the Collector 2022, held at Two Temple Place, London. Bringing together art and design spanning antiquity to the present day, the fair is known for its domestic-style presentation, with works displayed throughout the historic interiors as though in a private collection.

Townsend exhibited a large-scale botanical sculpture housed within a hand-blown glass orb on a metal base. Part of the Life Support series, the work explores relationships between plant life, ecology and human intervention through sculptural forms that combine botanical observation with contemporary environmental concerns.

Presented within the fair’s distinctive setting, the exhibition introduced the work to collectors and visitors from across the UK and beyond, offering an opportunity to present the series within one of London’s most distinctive art and design fairs.
