Life Support was presented by Ruup & Form as part of the inaugural edition of Eye of the Collector at Two Temple Place, London, in September 2021. Developed as an alternative to the conventional art fair model, the exhibition brought together contemporary and historical works within the richly detailed interiors of the nineteenth-century building, creating a slower and more intimate viewing experience.
Presented in partnership with Christie’s, the fair combined a physical exhibition with an international online platform, extending access to galleries and artists during a period when many cultural events were still shaped by the conditions of the pandemic.
Within this setting, Life Support explored themes of preservation, fragility, ecology, and care through botanical sculpture and material-led installation, reflecting the increasingly fluid boundaries between art, craft, and contemporary collecting.
