Works from the Flight of the Bumblebees series were presented by Karin Weber Gallery at Fine Art Asia, Hong Kong.
Presented alongside works by other gallery artists, the sculptures brought together flowering tree species from the UK and Asia, rendered in black and white wax. The series explored ideas of pollination, movement and exchange across geographical and cultural boundaries.
The presentation formed part of Townsend’s ongoing relationship with Karin Weber Gallery and introduced the work to an international audience of collectors, curators and visitors.
