A Study in Black and Gold was presented as part of a curated group showcase by First Of March during Collect 2025 at Somerset House, London. The exhibition brought together contemporary makers working across material disciplines. Developed for Wales Week London, the presentation considered craft as a form of cultural translation, connecting landscape, language, and inherited knowledge through making.
The works were situated within a restrained black and gold setting, allowing material, surface, and process to remain central. Together, the exhibition reflected a contemporary view of Welsh craft grounded in place, attention, and long-standing traditions of making.
